The 2010 release of “Sheila Ki Jawani,” featured in Farah Khan film Tees Maar Khan, proved to be a pivotal moment for both Katrina Kaif and the landscape of Bollywood item numbers.
This track, brought to life by Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals and Vishal-Shekhar’s composition, swiftly captured widespread attention with its captivating rhythm, audacious lyrics, and spectacular choreography. Interestingly, Farah Khan recently disclosed that this iconic song was produced on an exceptionally modest budget, making it the “cheapest” song of her career.
During a visit to actress Manasi Parekh’s home for her vlog, Farah Khan shared insights while discussing Manasi’s low-budget film, Shubhchintak. “When someone boasts to me that they made their song on a huge budget, it doesn’t impress me. I believe the smaller your budget, the better you think. The cheapest song of my life is Sheila Ki Jawani.”
Farah went on to elaborate on the song’s economical production. “We didn’t have any set for it. All we had were these 10 dancers. We finished shooting the entire song in just three and a half days. It is the cheapest song I’ve done and the biggest hit of my career. One of the top three or four hits.”
