Shocking Incident: Bengaluru Food Delivery Agent Assaulted Following Complaint by 8-Year-Old Girl”

An 8-year-old girl said that a 30 years old food delivery agent had dragged her to the building’s terrace against her will, and as a result, residents and security guards of a Bengaluru flat attacked the man and contacted the police. Later, though, it was discovered through surveillance video that the girl had made up the tale.

At an apartment complex in Bengaluru’s Electronic City, the incident happened on Monday. A couple found their missing 8-year-old daughter on the patio after searching for her. When she was discovered, the girl told her parents that she had bitten the palm of the food delivery man who had been leading her to the top floor in order to get away.

The parents said that after briefly leaving to drop off another child at the school bus and returning, they were unable to find their daughter. After 30 minutes, they discovered her on the terrace, where she insisted the delivery person had driven her.

The neighbors joined the couple as they began looking for their daughter. One of the neighbors finally saw the girl on the patio after approximately 30 minutes.

She gave this explanation when her parents questioned her about why she was on the terrace: “A food delivery agent rang the doorbell. He hauled me to the patio as soon as I opened the door. I bit his hand to get away,” she remarked.

The girl’s parents told their neighbors and the security staffs, who locked the gates to the apartment. A delivery person who was on-site was indicated by the girl. He was physically assaulted by apartment occupants and security personnel, who also dialed 911.

The parents said that after briefly leaving to drop off another child at the school bus and returning, they were unable to find their daughter. After 30 minutes, they discovered her on the terrace, where she insisted the delivery person had driven her.

The angry couple and other residents beat up the delivery worker and locked him up in the room intended for security staff after the girl recognized him as the person who had dragged her to the terrace without her will, according to authorities.

Other delivery workers who had arrived to deliver packages to the same flat in the interim learned of the incident and staged a demonstration outside the main entrance.

A Hoysala patrol car arrived at the scene of the incident a short while afterwards. Police arrived at the flat the following day and took the CCTV tapes from the top floor. Unfortunately, the steps leading up to the terrace were not covered by any CCTV cameras, according to authorities.

Police discovered a CCTV camera at the women’s lavatory on Wednesday. The parents said that after briefly leaving to drop off another child at the school bus and returning, they were unable to find their daughter. After 30 minutes, they discovered her on the terrace, where she insisted the delivery person had driven her.

“As we looked over the video, we were surprised to find the girl entering the terrace by herself and playing for a while. When we showed her parents the video, they were as astonished as we were, an investigating officer said.

After being questioned, the girl admitted to making a fake statement.

She said, “I was afraid that my parents would spank me for playing during class hours.”

After being shown the video and receiving an apology from the girl’s parents, the delivery agent added, “My kid is about five years old and I can understand your trauma.

No offence planned to any of you, but I found it sad when people argued me despite claims that I was innocent and the girl was lying.
