With only two Tests of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy completed and three still to play, Shubman Gill has already accumulated a significant tally of runs. The Indian Test captain has amassed nearly 600 runs across four innings, boasting an impressive average of 146.25. Following a century in Leeds, Gill unleashed a monumental 269 in the first innings of the second Test, then followed it up with a 162 off 161 balls in the second. His remarkable batting display, coupled with Akash Deep’s exceptional 10-wicket haul, propelled India to a commanding 336-run victory, leveling the series and securing their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston in 19 attempts.

Captain Gill’s outstanding performances in England have drawn considerable acclaim from cricketing legends. The latest to commend his efforts is former India captain Sourav Ganguly. Speaking to Revsportz, Ganguly hailed Gill’s batting as the finest he has witnessed on English soil in the last three decades.

“Shubman is batting like a dream,” said Ganguly. He further elaborated, “See my tweet and you will know. In my three decades of playing and watching cricket in the UK, this is one of the best exhibitions of batting that I have seen. He is simply flawless. There are no chinks in his armour and the English bowlers don’t look like getting him out.”

Dada is absolutely correct, isn’t he?
