In an interview, the Shershaah actor revealed that he had come to visit Karan Johar when fate intervened, bringing him face-to-face with Kiara. Their meeting, though unexpected, set the stage for a love story that would eventually lead to marriage.
Sidharth reminisced about that moment, saying, “That’s (the film) the reason I met her. I’m very grateful for that short film to be made, uh because I met her when they stopped… I was on set. I did go to meet Karan (Johar) at that set, and we (him and Kiara) met, and we met right after that.” He admitted that while he hadn’t intended to be there for that specific scene, he was already aware of the storyline through Karan. “I didn’t want to be for that, but I knew what she was up to because I’d heard the story from Karan before, but again, it was the intent; the hearts were in the right place. The presentation of it is funny because it sometimes is, and it’s a director’s take, but I think the heart was in the right place. Kudos to her to come into that… I think she was very bold in her choices.”
Beyond their on-screen encounters, Sidharth also reflected on how marriage has transformed his perspective on life. “I mean marriage also, for me, in the recent year has really opened up my eyes. In all these years of being by myself in Bombay and then to have her has been a great influence to another outlook towards life, work, family. She’s very family-oriented, and her ethics and morals are in the right place, and that’s something I respect and admire.”
