You can look for organisations that accept clothes, just ensure that the clothes are clean and in good condition. Avoid donationg torn, stained clothing.

Recycle Textiles – Textile recycling programs are used for clothes that are no longer wearable.By recycling such clothes, we can make useful prodects and reduce waste as well. Some big brands also offer in-house recycling facilities, where you can drop off torn or stained clothes.

Reuse and Upcycle –  You can also give your old clothes a new life by repurposing and upcycling. Give your creativity a boost and make something new from your old clothes that you have long discarded. This will not only reduce waste but give you a sense of satisfaction too. For example, your old jreans can be turned into stylish shorts, patchwork quilts can be made from torn scraps, T-shirts can be converted to shopping bags and so on.

Swap or Sell – You can also consider swapping or selling clothes that are in good condition. Various online marketplaces like eBay, Facebook etc.are excellent for selling clothes online. You can also organize events where clothes can be swapped with each other.

Compost Natural Fabrics – Natural fabrics like cotton, jute and silk can be composted, provided they are free from synthetic fibres, blends or dyes. Cut the fabric into small pieces to speed up the decomposition.
