Known for her iconic portrayal of Tulsi Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti’s potential return sparked excitement among fans. However, the politician has firmly denied these rumors.
The buzz gained momentum when a post from TellyChakkar on Instagram suggested Smriti might appear in Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa after a generation leap in the show. Smriti was quick to shut down the speculation by commenting on the post, saying, “Fake news!!!” This direct response from her has put an end to the rumors of her television comeback.
Smriti Irani rose to immense fame through her portrayal of Tulsi Virani in the hit television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which aired from July 2000 to November 2008 on Star Plus. Co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms, the show revolved around Tulsi, an ideal daughter-in-law, who marries into the wealthy Virani family, headed by business tycoon Govardhan Virani.
