The Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is going to make a comeback in the IPL 2024 as he was away from cricketing action for around 14 months because of a road accident.
The wicketkeeper-batter met with an accident when he was going to Roorkee to surprise his mother on the occasion of New Year. Rishabh Pant was driving the car but then he fell asleep and the overspeeding car rammed into the divider.
Rishabh Pant will be back as the skipper of Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 and his performance will play an important part in his selection in the Indian squad for the T20 World 2024.
Recently, Pant gave an interview in which he stated that he feels that something spiritual saved him because he met with such a horrific accident but only his knee got seriously injured. The seriousness could be understood by the fact that doctors even discussed amputation with him, he said, “When my accident happened, I felt something spiritual saved me. With the kind of accident I had, I only got my knee injured but I can’t even imagine how much worse it could have been. Doctors even spoke to me about amputation. I always thought about God. This has given a different view altogether. I know someone is watching over me.”
We wish Rishabh Pant all the best for the future.
