Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running shows of the Indian television and there have been times when the show attracted negative publicity especially when few actors left the show such as Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Jennifer Mistry, Gurcharan Singh, etc.
Actress Jheel Mehta played the character of young Sonu aka Sonalika Atmaram Bhide, daughter of Atamram Bhide, in TMKOC and when she left the show, there were rumours that she had been fired because of her height.
Recently, Jheel gave an interview in which she revealed the real reason for leaving the show, she said, “I left Taarak Mehta because I was in the 10th standard and as you know, we have these board exams. I needed to prepare for them and which is why I decided to leave the show.
The number of people who think that I was fired because of my height from the show is just outrageous. One, I was not fired from the show and two, I quit the show because I had to focus on my studies. I just wanted to focus on my studies. Why is it so difficult for people to understand that? I don’t get it.”
Jheel Mehta was a part of the show from 2008 to 2012 and in January, the 28 years old actress announced that she is going to get married to her boyfriend soon.
