Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently shared a powerful video addressing the issue of street harassment. The video, part of L’Oréal Paris’ Stand Up Against Street Harassment Training Program, encourages individuals to stand up for their self-worth and take action against harassment.
This initiative comes at a time when Aishwarya and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, are surrounded by ongoing divorce rumors.
While the video has been widely praised for spreading awareness about a critical social issue, it also reignited speculation about her marriage after recent photos from daughter Aaradhya’s birthday celebration excluded the Bachchan family, including Abhishek.
In the video, Aishwarya requested everyone to speak about street harassment. She can be heard saying in the video, “Street harassment, how to deal with it? Avoid eye contact? No. Look the problem directly in the eyes. Hold your head high. Feminine and feminist. My body, my worth. Never compromise your worth. Do not doubt yourself. Stand up for your worth. Don’t blame your dress or your lipstick. Street harassment is never your fault,”.
