Tricking his captivity, a young guy from Bihar’s Kaimur area got money from his father to study in Kota. When he did not come home on Thursday after leaving to take an exam, the event was discovered.
After then, the family got a call saying their son had been abducted and asking for a ransom of Rs 2 lakh. Significantly, the family was told to put the cash into their son’s account.
The family called the police right away to report the incident. A dedicated group was established to find him.
On Sunday, the police found the young man at the Kolkata Railway Station and returned him safely.
He admitted under questioning that he had orchestrated his own kidnapping in order to obtain money for his schooling.
He disclosed to the authorities that his father had put money aside for his sister’s impending marriage and had assured him of receiving it following the nuptials.
