Subhash Ghai is one of the most famous directors of Bollywood and he has directed many successful movies including 1993-released Khalnayak which starred Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit Nene, etc. in important roles. The movie was a superhit at the box-office and it is also being said that Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit were having an affair at that time.
Recently, Subhash Ghai held a special screening of Khalnayak on the occasion of the movie completing 30 years and the event was attended by Sanjay, Jackie Shroff, Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun but the leading actress Madhuri Dixit was not present at the event.
When Subhash Ghai was asked whether he was sure that Khalnayak would be a hit and remembered after so many years after its release. Subhash Ghai not only gave the answer but also took a funny jibe at Sanju and left him a little embarrassed. Subhash Ghai said, “I was always quite confident but as a director you have your moments of nervousness too. But Sanju was more confident than me about the movie. Ye (Sanjay Dutt) bolta tha, yeh picture bohot door tak jaayegi par dekhta tha Madhuri ki taraf.” (He used to say that this movie will go very far but while saying this, he always used to look towards Madhuri).
Sanjay and Madhuri have worked together in few movies such as Thanedaar, Saajan, etc. and their fans will certainly like to see them sharing the screen again.
