Suneel Darshan Reveals Priyanka Chopra’s Parents “Repaired” Her Nose On His Advice

Film producer Suneel Darshan recently shared a surprising revelation: he advised Priyanka Chopra to “fix her nose” before her role in the 2003 film Andaaz. In an interview, Darshan admitted that Chopra’s initial appearance didn’t immediately impress him. Andaaz starred Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles, alongside Lara Dutta, with supporting performances from Pankaj Dheer, Johny Lever, and Maya Alagh.

Darshan recalled a specific observation he made during their initial interactions. He stated, “Before I did Andaaz, I did tell her that she should do something about the bridge of her nose.” He was reportedly impressed when she acted on his advice, noting, “She knew that that was due, and her father and her mother were such good doctors. It wasn’t an issue, they got it repaired immediately.”

Priyanka later confirmed that this surgery was for a sinus issue. However, she has openly spoken about the operation being botched, an incident that nearly jeopardized her Bollywood debut. Despite this hurdle, Darshan recognized her innate talent. He observed, “She wasn’t conventionally good-looking, but she had a powerful presence and an alluring voice.”

He lauded her determination, predicting her eventual rise to stardom, even though her co-stars initially garnered more attention.
