Suniel Shetty has addressed the difficult path his son Ahan Shetty is navigating in Bollywood. After making a promising debut in 2021 with Tadap alongside Tara Sutaria, Ahan has been noticeably absent from the big screen. Though he is now working on Border 2, Suniel revealed that his son was previously dropped from two major film projects. The actor believes that negative press, fueled by certain individuals, is playing a role in damaging Ahan’s prospects.
Expressing his frustration, Suniel didn’t hold back in a recent interview. He shared that if these behind-the-scenes efforts to sabotage his son’s career continue, he will no longer remain quiet. “If this continues, I won’t stay silent,” Suniel stated firmly. “He’s ready to call a press conference and name those he believes are trying to harm his son’s career.”
Suniel also touched on the emotional and professional significance of Border 2. According to him, Ahan himself encouraged his father to treat this project as a pivotal moment in his career. Suniel believes Border 2 is a film of enduring relevance—one that will resonate with audiences and find its place in annual celebrations of national pride such as Independence Day and Republic Day.
While Ahan had been approached for other projects, Suniel said his son chose Border 2 out of sincere patriotic sentiment, suggesting that this film marks more than just a professional choice—it reflects deeply held personal values.
