Sunita Ahuja, wife of veteran Bollywood actor Govinda recently opened up about her relationship with her nephew Krushna Abhishek, sharing that despite everything that has transpired between them, her affection for him remains unchanged. In a candid interview, Sunita reflected on the emotional history they share and made it clear that her protective nature toward her husband never came in the way of familial bonds.
“I have been very protective and possessive of Govinda. Everything has its time. I still love Krushna Abhishek a lot. I have raised him. Even if he says good or bad things about me, I never stopped Govinda from meeting Krushna. Who am I to stop him? Krushna’s mother raised Govinda, and I did the same for Krushna and Arti,” she said, speaking with an openness that hinted at both pain and enduring love.
Sunita Ahuja remarks come in the context of a long-standing rift that has played out publicly over the years. While she had earlier mentioned feeling hurt that neither Krushna nor his wife Kashmera Shah offered an apology, her latest comments suggest that time has softened some edges. Her statement also highlighted the cyclical nature of care within the family — how Krushna’s mother once nurtured Govinda, and in turn, Sunita took on the responsibility of raising Krushna and his sister, Arti Singh.
The emotional complexity of family ties, particularly in the limelight, often unfolds far from public view. Sunita’s words, however, offer a rare glimpse into the affection that continues to survive beneath the strain, making it clear that despite misunderstandings, some bonds are never truly broken.
