As Salman Khan gears up for the release of his film Sikandar, he recently opened up about how he often promotes other actors’ films but rarely receives the same kind of support from others in the industry. His comments sparked a conversation, and Sunny Deol responded by calling Salman the “most supportive actor in Bollywood.”
In a recent interview, Sunny was asked whether the lack of public support for Salman suggests a deeper issue of disunity in the industry. He responded by saying that everyone has their own way of doing things and it’s natural for people to want good things said about them. “I mean, I think, and at the end of the day, we are all human beings, right? Har aadmi ka apna-apna dhang hota hai, kaise nahi hai aur har aadmi chahta hai ki uske baare mein koi accha bole ya cheezein chalein,” he said, adding that there’s nothing wrong with expecting appreciation.
Sunny Deol went on to say that, despite what it may seem, there isn’t negativity among actors. “But I think everybody is fond of one another, aur kabhi-kabhi ho jaata hai, kahin kisse ho jaate hain, jahan ek doosre se thodi si ho jaaye,” he explained, suggesting that occasional misunderstandings happen, but it doesn’t mean there’s bad blood.
He emphasized that Salman has always been there for others and believes the support he gives is appreciated by many of his peers. “Salman has always been a guy who’s always been supportive to everybody, and I’m sure all the actors who know him, all the colleagues — I think they are all very supportive of him. And that’s the way life is; it’s give and take. It can’t be one-sided,” Sunny added.
His words highlighted the mutual respect many actors still hold for Salman, even if it isn’t always shown publicly.
