Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has officially announced a new release date for Pushpa: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. Initially slated for December 6, the film will now release a day earlier, on December 5. This date shift has helped the movie avoid a potential box office clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava.
On Thursday, Allu Arjun took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the updated release date along with a new poster for the film. His post read, “#Pushpa2TheRuleOnDec5th.” Directed by Sukumar, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in key roles.

Pushpa 2 has already made headlines with its massive pre-release business, crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark even before its theatrical debut.
The film has reportedly garnered an impressive ₹1,085 crore through pre-release deals. Of this, the theatrical rights alone are valued at ₹600 crore—a record-setting figure for Indian cinema. Much of this revenue is from the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) and North India, contributing approximately ₹375-400 crore, with the rest of the domestic market adding around ₹100 crore.
We are excited for its release, what about you?
