Following the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Tanmay Bhat decided to address the situation in a lighthearted manner through a new YouTube reaction video. In the clip, he disclosed that he had previously invited Ranveer to collaborate on a fitness meme reaction video before the controversy erupted. However, since the incident, Ranveer has remained unresponsive to Tanmay’s messages.
The video features other well-known stand-up comedians, including Rohan Joshi, Kaustubh Agarwal, Piyush Sharma, Kushagra Srivastava, and Ravi Gupta. Notably, Rohan, Kaustubh, and Ravi had earlier appeared on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Tanmay sets the tone for his video by reading a viewer’s comment, which fuels his witty take on the ongoing drama.
The comment humorously posed the question, “Would you rather keep doing reaction episodes or bring Ranveer once and end it?” This was a playful jab at Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remark on India’s Got Latent, where he had asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” The remark had triggered significant backlash and controversy.
During the video, Tanmay reminisced about his prior interaction with Ranveer. He mentioned that just two weeks before the controversy unfolded, he had reached out to Ranveer, suggesting they collaborate on a fitness meme reaction video. He jokingly remarked, “Sun na, aake fitness memes pe react karte hai. Reply nahin kar raha hai ajkal. Pata nahi kya chal raha hai uske saath.” His quip left the entire panel in laughter.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia faced questioning from Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday, where he was interrogated for nearly two hours regarding his inappropriate joke on India’s Got Latent. According to NDTV, Ranveer acknowledged his mistake during the investigation and explained that he had appeared on the show due to his friendship with Samay Raina.
