After battling kidney-related conditions, Telugu comedian and actor Venkat Raj, better known by his stage name Fish Venkat, passed away on Friday at a Hyderabad hospital. 123 Telugu said that he was 53 years old.
Who was Venkat Raj?
Fish Venkat became well-known for his wicked and humorous parts. He appeared in over 100 Telugu movies. Raj made his screen debut in Sammakka Sarakka, which Dasari Narayana Rao introduced. He starred in several popular films, including Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, and Mirapakay, and is well-known for his distinctive Telugu dialect. Coffee with a Killer, an Aha thriller, was his most recent release. During the COVID-19 epidemic, Fish Venkat costarred alongside Siddhu Jonnalagadda and DJ Tillu in Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma.
Health issues with Venkat Raj
After his kidney condition worsened and he developed kidney failure, Venkat Raj was recently brought to the hospital. He required a kidney transplant and was admitted to the intensive care unit.
False offer of financial assistance
In an interview with One India last month, Sravanthi, Venkat’s daughter, stated that they had received financial assistance from Prabhas’ team.
“Daddy isn’t well at all. He is earnest and in the ICU. He needs a kidney transplant. It will cost us at least ₹50 lakh. Prabhas’ assistant called us and offered financial assistance. They asked us to inform them when his transplant happens to cover the cost,” she said.
