The Auroville – This is an experimental township built by Roger Anger, a popular architect and is famous for the magnificent golden architechtural wonder, “Matrimandir”. The architechtural marvel shines and glows in sunlight and is considered a symbol of peace and serenity. Visiting this place is a unique experience in itself and a must visit.
French Colony – Last but not the least, take a walking tour of the French Colony or the white town as it is commonly known. Take in the beautiful colonial houses in white, lined with trees and bougainvillea climbers. Most of these houses have now been converted into Boutique hotels with restaurants.
