Sushant Gaur began his packaging company with Rs 15 lakh at the age of 25. By the time he was in college, Sushant could play roughly ten different musical instruments. Sushant upset the market by selling his wares by weight rather than quantity.
Sushant Gaur is a Delhi-based entrepreneur whose creative sales and marketing methods have revolutionised the paper bag sector. He founded Urja Packaging in 2012 with Rs 15 lakh and has grown to a yearly revenue of Rs 28 crore. His sister Roli currently has an 80k-subscriber YouTube account. Sushant graduated from Delhi Public School, Noida, in 2004 and enrolled in an engineering institution, but dropped out a year later. He subsequently enrolled at MBICEM, a media institute in Delhi affiliated with Hissar University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (2005-2008).
After completing his MBA in 2010, he joined his father’s auto service centres in Delhi, but quickly realised that he needed to consult his father for every minor choice. He then went to the Ministry of Environment to request authorization to acquire renewable energy generating technologies. His items are manufactured using recycled paper and paper made from agricultural waste obtained from third parties. The firm made Rs 15 lakh in its first year and is anticipated to make Rs 55 crore this year.
Sushant had a fantastic idea to disrupt the industry by selling paper bags by weight. Customers responded well to his use of generic branding on the bags, such as Agarwal Sweets or Bikaner Sweets. He also created new bag sizes and types, and he became the only supplier for Apollo Pharmacy and Big Basket. About 2019-20, two of his friends, Atulya Bhatia and Ashish Agarwal, joined his firm and it formed a private limited company called Adeera Packaging Pvt Ltd. The firm presently employs 350 people across five factories in Greater Noida and Delhi.
Sushant married Vaishali, a nutritionist who owns her own online diet advice firm, in 2014. Jigyasa, the couple’s two-year-old daughter, is their favourite person to spend time with. Sushant enjoys spending time with his daughter and going on long drives with his wife, which he does virtually every other day. He also discusses the most recent agreement they struck, which holds personal meaning for him.
