This New Stadium Will Host ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 Final: Reports

The grand finale of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. Scheduled between September 29 and October 26, the 13th edition of the prestigious 50-over tournament will be hosted by India. According to a report, the newly built Mullanpur stadium has been chosen as the venue for the highly anticipated final, set to be played on October 26.

Alongside Mullanpur, other host cities for the tournament include Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Raipur, and Indore. Of these venues, only Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam has previously hosted a women’s international match. The rest, including Mullanpur, will be debuting as hosts on the women’s international stage. Although Indore had staged two Women’s World Cup matches in the past, those fixtures were played at the Nehru Stadium, which is no longer used for international cricket.

The tournament will feature top teams from around the world, with seven-time champions Australia, four-time winners England, the 2024 T20 World Cup champions New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka (the current Asia Cup winners), and hosts India already securing their spots. The remaining two places will be determined through the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, set to take place in Lahore from April 9.

If Pakistan qualifies for the main tournament, their matches are expected to be played at a neutral venue, likely in the UAE or Sri Lanka. With preparations underway, excitement builds for what promises to be a historic edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup.
