This Pakistani Batter Talks About Facing Bumrah & Indian Pace Attack

The clashes between the cricket teams of India and Pakistan are always intense and currently cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for the Asia Cup 2023 as there is a possibility that both the teams may play 3 matches against each other in the tournament. They will face each other in the league phase and then they will face each other in the super fours if both the teams manage to reach the knock-out phase and then there may be a chance of both the teams clashing against each other for the title in the finals.

The Indian pace attack will get more powerful as Jasprit Bumrah will be back in the team after a long period and Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj will also be back in the team as they were rested for some part of the West Indies tour.

The Pakistani batter Abdullah Shafique was having a media interaction when he was asked about facing the Indian pacers. The reporter asked, “You face Haris, Naseem, Shaheen in the nets all the time during practice sessions. Do you find it easy when you take on the opposition bowlers then? Particularly if you talk about India… since it looks like Jasprit Bumrah is also coming back for the Asia Cup.”

The Pakistani batter answered confidently, “Our bowling attack is pretty good, in fact, the best in the world. We face them (Shaheen, Haris, Naseem) in the nets… we face their challenging spells. And that gives us a lot of confidence and helps in our preparation. If we are playing good against them, we are obviously more confident against opponent bowlers.”

India and Pakistan will play against each other in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on 14 October after the Asia Cup 2023.
