Threads App To Launch 6 July Amid Backlash For Twitter But There’s One Concern

The competition for Elon Musk owned micro-blogging site Twitter is going to increase as Meta is going to launch a new app called Threads on 6 July and it will be Meta’s answer to Twitter. This new app Threads will be linked to Instagram and it seems that users can login with the same ID and can remain in contact with all those users with whom they are in contact at Instagram.

On Tuesday, Threads appeared in the Apple app store and the promotional text states, “Whatever it is you’re interested in, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who love the same things – or build a loyal following of your own to share your ideas, opinions and creativity with the world.”

Recently, Elon Musk took some new decisions which are under fire by online users, earlier tweets could be viewed without signing in but now a person can view the tweets only after signing in the app. The number of tweets that an unverified user could see in a day was restricted to 600 and later it got increased to 1000 and this has surely angered some Twitter users.

However, there is one aspect which could be of concern for netizens while joining Threads and that is privacy. The Threads app will collect date related to your financial details, health, surfing history, purchases, location, etc. and this is something which not everyone will like to share.

Are you going to use Threads or are you happy with Twitter? Share with us.
