As Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan, gears up for its October 6 premiere, excitement around the show continues to build. Recent reports suggest that the show’s makers approached Disha Vakani, best known as Daya Ben from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, with an impressive offer to appear on the reality show. According to a leading entertainment portal, Disha was offered Rs 65 lakh — the highest amount offered to any contestant this season.
Despite the lucrative offer, Disha Vakani reportedly declined to participate in Bigg Boss 18. This isn’t the first time the actress has turned down an invitation to appear on the show.
While there has been no official statement from Disha, she has remained out of the spotlight since taking a maternity break in 2017. Although her character, Daya Ben, has not returned to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the show is still going on pretty strong.
Fans of both Bigg Boss and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will no doubt be disappointed by Disha’s decision, as many were eager to see her back on screen.
