Tom Moody Makes A Shocking Statement About Aussie Cricketer Steve Smith

The cricket fraternity is currently waiting for the auctions for the IPL 2024 which is going to take place today (19 Dec) at Coca Cola arena, Dubai as 333 cricketers (214 Indians and 119 overseas cricketers) will be trying their luck for getting a chance to play in the upcoming season of one of the biggest cricketing events of the world.

The former Aussie cricketer Tom Moody who has also served as the coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team has made some interesting predictions regarding the auctions of the IPL 2024. While talking to a portal, he stated, “Steve Smith, I don’t think, will get picked up in the auction this year. Secondly, Mitchell Starc will break the all-time auction record which is currently held by Sam Curran for Rs 18.50 crore. I think he will go beyond that.”

Tom Moody also talked about the Indian cricketer Shahrukh Khan who represents Tamil Nadu at the domestic level. He said, “Shahrukh Khan, I think, will be picked up by CSK, and it won’t be too far from what he had been released for by Punjab Kings, which was around Rs 9 crore. Gujarat Titans will have the largest purse remaining after the auction. And finally, the World Cup will have significant impact on the players picked. They are likely to have big payday.”

Do you feel that Tom Moody is correct about Steve Smith’s prospect in auctions for the IPL 2024?
