Modhera Sun Temple – The Sun Temple in Modhera is a prominent shrine dedicated to the Hindu Sun God and is located at a distance of 100km from Ahmedabad. Built by King Bhimdev of the Chalukya Dynasty, who were believed to be the descendants of Lord Surya, between 1026-27 AD. The temple is divided into three parts-the Guda Mandapa, which is the main temple, the Sabha Mandapa, that is the assembly hall and the Surya Kund , a stepwell-styled tank. The Gujarat Tourism Corporation organizes the Modhera Dance Festival in the third week of January every year, after the festival of Uttarayaan. Zanzari Waterfalls – Located about 75 km from Ahmedabad, Zanzari Waterfalls is a perfect getaway for nature lovers.
