All thanks to Yash Chopra’s cinematic masterpieces along with the king of romance Shahrukh Khan Switzerland is a country that is synonymous with timeless romantic travel destinations, especially for those born in the 90’s.   

Every corner of Switzerland seemed to whisper tales of love and passion, be it scenes from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dil toh Pagal hai, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Swiss Alps– Touring amidst the Swiss Alps, the most extensive mountain range in central Europe, will transport you to the 90s. Songs from Darr to DDLJ were shots amidst the majestic mountains.

Lucerne– Walk across the wooden Chapel Bridge, and enjoy stunning views of Lake Lucerne. The place is best suited to reach the snow-clad Swiss Alps.

Interlaken– Visiting the most scenic town of Interlaken is compulsory for SRK and Late Yash Chopra film fans. The prestigious title of ambassador of Interlaken was awarded to Yash Chopra by the Swiss government for a reason. There is a Yash Chopra bronze statue. Most of his iconic films, like DDLJ, and Dil Toh Pagal Hai were shot here.

Bernese Oberland– Located above the pretty village of Engelberg, the breathtaking alpine landscape, houses the most popular mountain – Mt Titlis. To add, the charming town of Zweisimmen is located here. The picturesque village serves as the gateway to the world-famous Gstaad region.

Gstaad – You cannot miss Lake Lauenen (Lauenensee), near Gstaad/Saanen. it is also called ‘Lake Chopra’. The song Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main was shot in the main walkway of Gstaad, an old-world village in western Switzerland, well-known for its arresting chalets, and world-class skiing.
