Triptii Dimri, known for her impressive performances, recently shared her thoughts on her role in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and the responses it garnered post-release. Attending the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024 on September 25, Triptii participated in a session titled “Struggles to Stardom: The Untold Story of My Bollywood Breakthrough,” where she opened up about her career journey and choices.
During the event, Triptii spoke about her decision to portray Zoya in Animal. “For me, I don’t like staying in my comfort zone,” she explained. After the success of Bulbbul and Qala, where she felt comfortable in her roles, she was looking for something more challenging. “While I love drama, being on those sets always energised me. However, when Animal came along, I found it truly challenging,” she added.
Triptii Dimri highlighted the importance of stepping outside one’s comfort zone. “As an actor, it’s important to take on something that pushes you. Every time I get a role, I feel like it’s both scary and challenging.” Zoya’s character, balancing bravery with innocence, was a compelling challenge that intrigued her.
Regarding the mixed reactions to her character, Triptii stood by her portrayal of Zoya. “I would approach Zoya’s character exactly the same way I did. As humans, we all have different shades—good, bad, and even ugly. Films allow us to explore these sides,” she remarked, underlining the importance of exploring diverse emotions and perspectives through acting.
Triptii was last seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal and is set to appear in the highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which releases on November 1. The film stars Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, adding to her growing list of noteworthy projects.
