Actress Triptii Dimri’s team has issued a statement addressing accusations that she failed to attend an event in Jaipur despite receiving payment. The Women Entrepreneurs of FICCI FLO claimed that Triptii was paid Rs 5 lakhs for her appearance but did not show up, leaving the organizers frustrated.
The statement reads, “During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honoured her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film. Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties. It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities.”
The incident took place on Tuesday evening when FICCI FLO had arranged a session with the actress, which she did not attend. This led to outrage among the committee members. Some of them defaced posters of Triptii and even called for a boycott of her upcoming films. Video footage from the event captured a woman saying, “Mooh kaala karo iska,” as she defaced one of the posters featuring the actress.
Hopefully the matter will get sorted out soon.
