Congratulations to Udaariyaan actor Karan Sharma and Diya Aur Baati Hum star Pooja Singh, who are now formally Mr. and Mrs.! On March 31, 2024, the pair was married in a small-scale wedding in Mumbai.
The newlyweds posted their first official wedding images on social media on Monday, April 1. “Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Sharma💑✨❤️🧿✨#JustMarried #newlyweds #pookavivaah #poojakaran #blessed,” the caption said.
This signifies Karan and Pooja’s second marriage. Previously, in 2016, Karan wed singer-actress Tiaara Kar; however, the couple separated in 2019.
In contrast, Pooja’s marriage to engineer Kapil Chattani ended in divorce in 2021. After the wedding, Karan and Pooja disclosed that they were too busy getting ready for the wedding to think about their honeymoon.
Pooja declared, “I will be visiting Karan’s birthplace of Dehradun shortly, and I will be staying there for around a month and a half to complete post-wedding customs. After that, we’ll organise our honeymoon. “With my wife, Pooja, I will explore my hometown and other picturesque spots in Uttarakhand,” Karan continued.
The actress previously discussed his romance with Karan in an interview with Pinkvilla, claiming that it was more of an arranged marriage set-up. Nevertheless, despite Pooja and Karan working for the same production company for years, they never crossed paths.
“The casts of both shows were staying at the same hotel even during the pandemic, but we never crossed paths,” Pooja continued. It happened when we met through a mutual acquaintance. It resembles an arranged marriage arrangement more. It seems unreal and as though our union was meant to be.”
