A strange traffic accident at the ISKON bridge in this city claimed the lives of at least nine individuals, two of whom were police officers, and injured 13 others, according to the police. On Wednesday night at around one in the morning, the accident happened.On the Sarkhej–Gandhinagar highway, a Mahindra Thar collided with a dumper that was traveling in the direction of the ISKCON bridge, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) SJ Modi.
A sizable crowd had gathered to observe the accident, but at the same moment, a speeding Jaguar automobile from the Karnavati Club crashed into the gathering, according to SJ Modi, who added that six people perished instantly.
The deceased, according to the police, were residing in Ahmedabad for their studies and are from the Gujarati districts of Botad and Surendranagar. The bodies of six of the dead have been identified. They are Dharmendra Singh (Ahmedabad-Police Constable), Nirav (Amda), Aman Kachhi (Botad), Krunal Kodia (Botad), Armaan Wadwania (Surendranagar), and Akshay Chavda (Botad).
The wounded have been transported to the Sola Civil Hospital, where they are receiving care. According to the police, the Jaguar’s driver also suffered injuries. After learning that traffic had been diverted, Sector 1 Joint Commissioner of Police Neerajkumar Badgujar and senior police personnel arrived at the scene of the accident.
