From bold fashion choices to unfiltered honesty, Uorfi Javed has never shied away from sharing her reality with the world. This time, however, the actor and influencer opened up about something far more personal than her outfits—a phase when her health was at its weakest, even though it didn’t always show on the outside.
Uorfi spoke about a period marked by extreme weight loss, unhealthy eating patterns, and emotional distress. While life appeared normal to others, she was silently struggling both physically and mentally. By sharing her experience, she offered a rare glimpse into how damaging such phases can be, and what eventually helped her begin to recover.
Earlier this year, Uorfi reflected on that difficult time by revisiting old memories of her health journey. She revealed that her weight had dropped to an alarmingly low level, and although she looked slim, her body was far from healthy. She admitted that she was dealing with emotional lows and constant stress, and her lifestyle only made things worse. Eating barely once a day and completely avoiding certain food groups left her drained, irritable, and constantly on edge.
She explained that extreme thinness did not mean she was fit. In fact, her body was reacting negatively to the lack of nourishment. At one point, her waist size had reduced drastically, yet her face often appeared swollen. This led to unnecessary speculation, which she later clarified had nothing to do with cosmetic procedures.
Uorfi shared that ignoring proper nutrition and not managing her allergies caused inflammation in her body. This affected her sinuses and natural drainage system, resulting in facial puffiness despite her low weight. It was a clear sign that her body was under stress and not getting what it needed.
Over time, things began to change. Uorfi said her health has improved gradually, even though she still experiences occasional swelling. What made the biggest difference, according to her, was incorporating strength training into her routine. Weight training helped her regain physical strength and also brought much-needed mental balance.
Today, she feels more stable and healthier than before. By opening up about her struggle, Uorfi highlighted an important truth—that extreme dieting and under-eating can harm the body in ways that aren’t always visible. Her journey serves as a reminder that real wellness is not about being thin, but about being strong, nourished, and mentally well.
