Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur: A man has been detained by Uttar Pradesh police on suspicion of killing an 8-year-old child and concealing his body in a sugarcane field following an unsuccessful attempt at rape.
Shivam, aged 21, has been named as the accused. Authorities said the victim’s father had reported his son’s kidnapping at Bilaspur police station in Uttar Pradesh. Employees of Bilaspur police station detained Shivam on Wednesday and filed a complaint against him in accordance with applicable laws.
“A resident of Bilaspur came to the police station and lodged a complaint that his 8-year-old son had been lured by his neighbor tenant Shivam and that his body had been found in a sugarcane field,” said Sansar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police. He also affirmed that Shivam was seen bringing his son into the sugarcane field by the CCTV cameras that had been put in place.”
“For this reason, the corpse was successfully removed from the field by the police. Police found the bloodstained clothing he was wearing at the time and further legal action is being pursued,” he added.
