The Suryavanshi household is basking in joy and pride after young Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s extraordinary performance that lit up Jaipur and electrified the IPL 2025 season. The 14-year-old sensation played a knock for the ages, becoming the youngest centurion in IPL history with a blistering hundred off just 35 balls. His heroic effort not only helped Rajasthan Royals chase down a daunting target against Gujarat Titans but also kept their playoff dreams alive.

This awe-inspiring innings came in only his third appearance in the IPL, yet Vaibhav showed the composure and flair of a seasoned player. Facing an attack that included renowned bowlers such as Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Rashid Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Washington Sundar, the teenager put on a remarkable display of power-hitting. He ended his innings with a stunning 101 runs from 38 deliveries, laced with seven boundaries and eleven towering sixes.

Following this historic feat, Vaibhav’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, shared an emotional video message expressing his gratitude and pride. “Vaibhav scored a century in just 35 balls during the IPL match and led his team Rajasthan Royals to victory. We, along with entire Bihar and the whole nation, are extremely proud of his achievement. We would like to sincerely thank the entire Rajasthan Royals management and players for supporting Vaibhav and giving him this opportunity,” he said with heartfelt emotion.

Sanjeev further highlighted the crucial role played by the Rajasthan Royals coaching staff, especially head coach Rahul Dravid. “For the past three-four months RR have been nurturing Vaibhav. His head coach Rahul Dravid sir, along with the other coaches, have all worked together to improve his game and polish his skills through continuous training. Vaibhav was also working really hard. That is why he has been able to perform so well,” he explained.

In addition, Sanjeev expressed his appreciation to Bihar Cricket Association president Rajesh Tiwary for recognizing Vaibhav’s talent early and enabling him to play domestic cricket at such a young age, providing a strong foundation for his rapid rise.
