Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, both from film families, have shared a bond since childhood. When Shraddha was just eight years old, she developed a crush on Varun and confessed her feelings during a film shoot. However, young Varun rejected her, which upset Shraddha so much that she arranged for him to be “beaten up” by some friends.
In a recent interview with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra, Varun shared this funny childhood memory. He also recalled feeling a connection with Natasha Dalal, now his wife, when he first saw her in sixth grade.
The drama continued at Shraddha’s 10th birthday party. During the celebrations, while everyone was playing in a jumping bag, Shraddha Kapoor got her friends—four boys who had feelings for her—to confront Varun. “They surrounded me and asked, ‘Why don’t you like Shraddha?’ I said I was more interested in a dance competition. But they insisted, and a fight broke out. They hit me, but I fought back,” Varun said. Despite the chaos, he went on to win the dance competition, while Shraddha came in third.
As teenagers, the two reconnected at a dandiya event at Shraddha Kapoor school. Varun Dhawan, from a different school, participated in the event but got into trouble for accidentally hitting someone with a dandiya stick. While trying to avoid further trouble, he noticed Shraddha walking in slow motion. “She looked incredibly beautiful that day, and I regretted rejecting her years ago. That’s when we became friends again,” Varun stated.
Well, Shraddha Kapoor is indeed very beautiful, what do you think?
