Bollywood superstar Salman Khan left a lasting impression while filming his cameo for Baby John, according to filmmaker Atlee and actor Varun Dhawan. In a recent interview, the duo shared their experiences of working with Salman, highlighting his wit, humility and professionalism.
Atlee, along with co-producer Murad Khetani, initially planned to approach Salman for the cameo. However, Atlee revealed that Murad acted swiftly, speaking with the actor and securing his agreement within hours.
Recalling his reaction, Atlee said, “I was thrilled but also nervous. A superstar like Salman Khan was coming, so I wanted everything to be perfect.” Despite their intentions to explain the scene to Salman in detail, the actor brushed it off, saying, “Why do you have to explain? I’ll come and do it, no problem.”
Salman surprised everyone by arriving on set 20 minutes before the scheduled time. “I was technically on time, but he arrived earlier and was sitting there like a lion,” Atlee quipped.
Varun Dhawan chimed in, sharing that Salman’s sense of humor kept the atmosphere light. The superstar teasingly called Atlee ‘Bruce Lee Ka Bhai’ (Bruce Lee’s brother), showcasing his playful side.
Atlee praised Salman for his humility and ease of collaboration. “I’ve never seen a superstar like that,” Atlee remarked, reflecting on how Salman made the process seamless despite his larger-than-life persona.
