Varun Sharma Celebrates 5 Years of ‘Chhichhore’, Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput

Actor Varun Sharma took to Instagram on Friday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the beloved film Chhichhore, while also paying tribute to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sharing behind-the-scenes (BTS) moments from the film’s set, Varun posted nostalgic images featuring himself, Sushant, Shraddha Kapoor, and the rest of the Chhichhore cast. He captioned the post, “Kammo. Celebrating Chhichhore. A film so special and so close to all of us. #5yearsofchhichhore.”

Chhichhore is a heartwarming film that explores themes of friendship, nostalgia, and the trials of college life. The story follows Anni (played by Sushant Singh Rajput) and his close-knit group of college friends. The film alternates between two timelines—one focusing on their college years, where they work hard to win a major competition, and the other, years later, showing how their lives have evolved post-graduation.

The group of friends reunites in adulthood after one of their own suffers a serious accident, reigniting their strong bond. In the movie, Varun Sharma’s character affectionately refers to Sushant’s character as “Kammo.” Shraddha Kapoor also reacted to one of the photos as she commented “Kammmoooo”.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore was lauded by both critics and audiences for its relatable story and emotional depth. Sadly, it was Sushant Singh Rajput’s final theatrical release before his untimely death on June 14, 2020.

Miss you Sushant Singh Rajput!
