Vedang Raina made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s teen musical film The Archies, alongside other young stars like Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, and Aditi Saigal. The 24-year-old actor, now preparing for the release of his second film Jigra, recently opened up about his experiences working with his The Archies co-stars.
In an interview, Vedang shared what he both likes and tolerates in his industry friends, shedding light on the dynamics on set.
When talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, Vedang praised her warmth, stating, “She is very warm to people around her.” However, he humorously revealed the one thing he had to tolerate on set—Suhana taking the most time to get ready. “The guys would take 15 minutes to get ready, and we’d end up waiting 40 minutes for Suhana,” he laughed. He also shared an amusing anecdote about how often filming was paused to fix her hair, adding, “It’s not her fault, it was just the requirement of the film.”
Vedang was also asked about his rumored girlfriend, Khushi Kapoor. He complimented her for being “very sweet and generous to people around her.” On the other hand, he admitted that he tolerates her occasional bouts of self-doubt, joking about how she sometimes goes on a “self-doubt trip.”
Vedang is set to star alongside Alia Bhatt in his second film, Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. Not only will he showcase his acting, but he will also display his musical talents. Vedang has lent his voice to the title track of the action-thriller and has also sung a reprised version of the classic song Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka. Jigra is slated for release on October 11, and audiences are eagerly anticipating both his acting and musical performance in the film.
