Before the 4th Test match against England, the Indian cricket team held a special meeting with Manchester United football club supporters at the Old Trafford stadium. Members of Manchester United wore Team India shirts, while Shubman Gill and his team wore Red Devils shirts. Additionally, India spinner Kuldeep Yadav, a major football fan, praised Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim in a message on X (formerly Twitter) during the event.

However, Kuldeep’s comments led to a joke with former England captain Kevin Pietersen, who has been harsh on Manchester United for their recent performances.
Kuldeep Yadav’s post prompted a reaction from Pietersen. He said: “Very very very poor football team.”
The India spinner, however, fought back, defending Amorim, but in a subtle little way. “Very, very good human being, just like you,” Kuldeep replied to Pietersen on X.

The image of Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim and Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir was shared on the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s official media account.
Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, received a signed bat from Team India vice-captain and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant during the match. Mohammed Siraj, a right-arm seamer for India, was also bowling to Harry Maguire, a defender for Manchester United.
India lost the 3rd Test at Lord’s by barely 22 runs, and now trail 1-2 in the five-match series.
