Quickly after the accident, Chief Minister Saha went to the scene to inspect the situation. He expressed shock and claimed that such a tragic tragedy had never happened in Tripura’s history.

“The severity of this sad tragedy is beyond words. The chariot was electrocuted during the Ulto Rath Yatra when it came into touch with a wire. Those who were on the chariot’s stairway perished instantly, but those who were within the chariot were unharmed. This incident is incredibly regrettable and unthinkable. I personally contacted with Minister Tinku Roy and former Minister Bhagaban Das, who were in Kumarghat, as soon as I learned about the tragedy and let them know I would be attending. I went to the website and tried to comprehend the circumstance. In Tripura’s history, there has never been an incidence like this. We send our heartfelt condolences, stated CM Saha.

The injured people have reportedly been admitted to the Fatikroy, Kumarghat, and GB Pant hospitals, according the CM office. In order to meet the victims and the surviving family members of the deceased, I went to the Fatikroy and Kumarghat hospitals. I have given the Chief Secretary and the Health Department Authority instructions to provide good care. We support the grieving and injured parties’ families.

“The government has made the decision to cover all costs associated with the affected people’s medical care. We have made the decision to grant the deceased’s surviving relatives Rs 4 lakh as urgent relief from the government. According to the CM, people with burn injuries of 40% to 60% or more will receive Rs 2.50 lakh, while those with burn injuries of 40% to 60% will receive Rs 74,000.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously expressed his great sorrow over the disaster and made an announcement regarding an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the relatives of each individual who passed away, as well as Rs 50,000 for those who were hurt in the accident.
