There is no denying the fact that A-list actors of the Indian film industry charge a whopping amount for working in a movie and as per the reports, Thalapathy Vijay has surpassed all the southern superstars in terms of the highest fees charged for a movie.
Vijay is one of the most popular actors of the country who mainly works in the Telugu film industry and his presence in the movie is the guarantee of success. If we talk about few of his last releases, then excluding Beast (average on box-office), his movies – Varisu, Mersal, Bigil, Sarkar, etc. are blockbusters and for quite some time, there were speculations that he has charged above Rs. 175 crores for his next release Leo which also stars Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt.
However, now there is news that Thalapathy Vijay has charged a mammoth amount of Rs. 200 crores and with this, he has surpassed all the big actors of the southern cinema including Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, etc. in terms of fees charged for one movie.
Leo is scheduled to release on 23 October 2023 and it is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj whose last movie Vikram was a big hit. The director has already made it clear that he will make only 10 movies after which he will start exploring new things in life.
This news will certainly cause a ripple in the southern film industry as the fan clubs are very serious about the fee hike of their actors.
