Recent reports around Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana created confusion after several portals claimed that actor Vikrant Massey had been replaced by Raghav Juyal. The news spread quickly on social media and triggered a casting controversy. Vikrant Massey has now clearly denied these claims and stated that he was never associated with the film.
Vikrant Massey Reacts to Ramayana Casting Rumours
The rumours began after Variety India reported that Raghav Juyal will play Meghanad, also known as Indrajit, the son of Ravana, in Ramayana. Soon after this update, another entertainment portal claimed that Juyal had replaced Vikrant Massey in the role.
To stop the speculation, Vikrant Massey addressed the issue on his Instagram Stories on February 7. He wrote that he was never part of the project and criticised the reports for spreading incorrect information. Calling the coverage irresponsible, he expressed disappointment with how some media houses handled the story.
At the same time, Massey wished the team of Ramayana well and said he would watch the film in theatres. He later deleted the Instagram post, but screenshots of his statement continued to circulate widely online.
