Viraj Ghelani Clarifies His Jawan “Worst Experience” Comment Was Blown Out Of Proportion

Days after content creator Viraj Ghelani referred to his time working on Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as his “worst experience,” he has now clarified that his words were misunderstood. In a recent interview, Viraj explained that the disappointment stemmed from his role being cut down in the final version of the film.

Viraj revealed that although he shot for 13-14 days, only scenes from the first day of filming made it into the final cut. He admitted that this left him feeling disheartened when he watched the movie with his fiancée, expecting more of his scenes to be included.

As a content creator himself, Viraj acknowledged that editing decisions are part of the filmmaking process. He added, “Mujhe bhi kuch video mai extra lag raha hota hai toh mai kaatt deta hu” (If I feel something is extra in my videos, I cut it too), showing that he understood why certain scenes were excluded from the film.

Viraj Ghelani also clarified that he had no problems with Jawan director Atlee, describing him as “the sweetest.” He mentioned that it was not Atlee but some “random people” on set who were rude to him. Additionally, Viraj shared that Atlee had even offered him a role in Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Baby John.

Ending on a light note, Viraj emphasized that he never even got the chance to meet Shah Rukh Khan during the shoot. He concluded by expressing surprise at how his comments spiraled out of control, saying, “Baat ka batangad ban gaya befaaltu mai. Pata nahi kahaan se kahan baat pahuch gayi” (Things were blown out of proportion for no reason, I don’t know how it escalated).
