However, destiny had bigger plans for Monalisa Bhonsle. She has now secured a lead role in The Diary of Manipur, directed by Sanoj Mishra, who previously helmed The Diary of West Bengal. This film will mark her first step into the industry, where she will star opposite Amit Rao, the brother of acclaimed actor Rajkummar Rao.
