Virat Kohli Gets Huge Support In The Ranji Match, 15K Spectators Came To Stadium

The star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is playing a Ranji Trophy match for his domestic side, Delhi, after more than 12 years, on Thursday, January 30.

For his first Ranji Trophy appearance since November 2012, over 15,000 fans have gathered at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) had initially planned free entry for 10,000 fans, but the turnout far exceeded expectations.

Virat Kohli, who enjoys a massive fan following worldwide, was visibly surprised by the record-breaking crowd and acknowledged their support during the morning session of the ongoing Elite Group D match against Railways. In a video shared by BCCI Domestic’s official X handle, he can be seen waving to thank his fans.

The match against Railways is crucial for Delhi as they must secure a win to keep their hopes alive for the knockout stage. The aura of Virat Kohli was evident even before the match began, with thousands of fans lining up outside the stadium to witness his first domestic red-ball appearance in 13 years.
