Sources revealed to a leading publication that Kohli’s injury might sideline him from the first of the remaining two Ranji Trophy games, pending an update from DDCA selectors. A senior DDCA official indicated that Kohli’s inclusion in the squad is likely, contingent upon his recovery.
Despite the uncertainty, Virat Kohli, absent from Delhi’s Ranji Trophy lineup since 2012, could still join his teammates for training sessions in Rajkot. The Delhi squad plans to depart on January 20, allowing for preparatory sessions ahead of the crucial match.
Meanwhile, star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has affirmed his availability for the Saurashtra fixture, with expectations that he might also feature in the subsequent match against Railways.
