The Indian cricket fans are really hoping to see Virat Kohli perform well in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ICC ODI World Cup 2023 as it is quite certain that Virat needs to play a big role if India has to win these tournaments.
While there are many cricketers who are taking retirement from ODI cricket in order to focus more on T20I cricket and test cricket, Virat Kohli is one of those cricketers who like to play the ODI format and he loves to face the challenges that are given in the 50-over format.
During an interview, Virat Kohli has talked about why he loves to play ODI cricket. He said, “I love playing ODI cricket. I think for me, ODI cricket is probably the one format that tests your game completely, Your technique, composure, patience, playing the situation, and playing differently in different phases of the game. So, I think it tests you as a batsman completely, and I feel the ODI cricket has always brought the best out of me because I like to embrace that challenge and play according to the situation to help my team win.”
The Asia Cup 2023 has started from today as the first match between Pakistan and Nepal is being played at Multan Cricket Stadium and India will be playing their first match on 2 September against the arch-rivals, Pakistan.
