Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their third win of the tournament as they defeated Gujarat Titans by 9 wickets in the match which was played yesterday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Batting first, GT put up a total of 200/3 on the scoreboard with the help of brilliant knocks of Sai Sudharsan (84 runs not out) and Shahrukh Khan (58 runs). RCB chased the target successfully in just 16 overs, the batting attack was initially led by the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli (70 runs not out, 44 balls) but eventually it was Will Jacks who played a blistering knock of 100 runs not out for which he played only 41 balls.
There are many who are of the opinion that Virat Kohli’s strike rate is not good in the shortest format of the game and he also has a problem in playing the spinners.
Virat Kohli has certainly silenced his critics with his yesterday’s knock and when he was asked whether he is concerned with people talking about these numbers, he said, “Not really. All the people who talk about strike rates and me not playing spin well are the ones talking about this stuff. For me, it’s about winning games for the team and there’s a reason why you’ve done it for 15 years, you’ve done this day in and day out, you’ve won games for your teams.”
That was a perfect response, wasn’t it?
