The Indian cricket team has won the Asia Cup title for the eighth time after it defeated the Sri Lankan team in the finals of the Asia Cup 2023 which was played yesterday at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Winning the finals was not very difficult for the Indian team as first Indian bowlers wrapped up the hosts at the score of 50 runs and India chased the target successfully in just 6 overs without losing any wicket. Mohammed Siraj was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his superb bowling performance (6/21) in 7 overs.
The Indian players had some great time yesterday on the field and they also got involved in some friendly banter. A video is currently going viral in which Ishan Kishan is seen imitating Virat Kohli’s walking style and few Indian players (Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli himself) watched him and laughed as well. While walking back, Ishan Kishan copied Virat’s hop-and-run style but the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli gave it back in style by copying Ishan Kishan’s walking style.
