Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 has made over ₹300 crore globally, despite a slowdown at the box office. Before the conclusion of its first week, the spy thriller, which starred Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, experienced another midweek decline, which raised concerns that its lifespan might not be as long as the producers had intended.

On Wednesday, the seventh day of its release, War 2 brought in ₹5.50 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk. As of right now, the movie has made ₹199 crore net (₹238 crore gross) domestically. The movie had made as much as ₹57.85 crore in a single day just five days prior, and Wednesday’s earnings of ₹5.50 crore were the lowest. However, War 2 currently appears to be dead in the water due to consecutive declines on weekdays.
The movie’s box office receipts have also fallen precipitously abroad. According to estimations, War 2 has made approximately $8 million (₹69 crore) on the global market. After seven days, this brings its international total to a healthy ₹307 crore. For War to have any chance of a comeback, it must now see a strong surge over its second weekend. The movie needs that to turn a profit because its production cost was around ₹400 crore. Due to its conflict with Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which also came out on the same day, and unimpressive reviews that generated negative buzz, War 2 has underperformed at the box office.

War 2 is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger series. Kiara Advani plays the lead in the movie, alongside Hrithik and NTR. Bobby Deol introduces Alpha, the upcoming release in the Spy Universe, in the post-credits sequence of the film. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari will play the leading roles in that movie, which is scheduled for release in December.
